South Wind Women’s Center in Wichita, Kansas has opened its doors four years after the murder of Dr. Tiller, despite death threats, protests, and intimidation. I designed this image based on the Kansas state bird, the Western Meadowlark, which to me looks like it has a heart right in the middle of its chest, and which I immediately thought symbolized the love and respect I have for the staff at South Wind.

Show support to their staff by printing out a bird, writing a message about why you are thankful that they are providing care, and mailing it to them at

Wichita, KS 67218.
